The Mountain Goats Announce 2026 World Tour

The Mountain Goats, the venerable indie-folk project fronted by the ever-prolific John Darnielle, have officially announced a globe-spanning The Mountain Goats tour for 2026. The band is hitting the road to support their latest effort, the highly anticipated 24th studio album, Through This Fire Across From Peter Balkan, a conceptually rich full-on musical released in late 2025.

Starting April 10, the run covers Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Europe. Key stops include Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Berlin, and London. The band will play a special April 21 show at Blue Note Hawaii in Honolulu. The Mountain Goats will be joined by Craig Finn for most European dates, while Craig Finn and the Band of Forgiveness will provide support across the UK and Ireland. This marks the band's first New Zealand visit in 16 years.
